Greenham Common Trust bought the former three-storey Vodafone suite of offices at the top of Northbrook Street in 2009 with the idea of creating a ‘one-stop-shop’ for counselling and voluntary organisations.
Following a refurbishment programme, Broadway House was opened in September 2010 creating an office, meeting and counselling space in Newbury Town Centre where easily accessible facilities can be shared by a number of organisations supporting the local community.
Broadway House now houses on its ground and first floors a number of local charities and organisations who benefit from the shared services, as well as the experience and networking opportunities of being under one roof. West Berkshire Citizens Advice Bureau occupy the whole of the second floor, where they run their drop in service, telephone service and carers’ advice service. See the Occupiers page for a list of organisations based at Broadway House.
Visitors to any of these organisations can access them by making their way to the lobby of the appropriate floor where they can call through to the organisation they wish to visit. The building is fully accessible for the disabled.
